Rowell Concepcion studied fashion merchandising management and later, millinery, at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. He has worked for brands from Balenciaga to Alexander Wang, and founded Creative Projects Division, an accessories showroom, in 2015.
With a love for art and fashion, and a knack for business, Rowell launched his second endeavor, Binata Millinery, in August 2020 as a tribute to his dad and a nod to his Filipino heritage. He is inspired by all things playful, quirky, and whimsical. Rowell currently makes every hat using traditional millinery techniques and responsibly sourced materials.
