Ellie Ayati-Jian, a Boston-based milliner with a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Western Australia, combines her background in design with her passion for fashion. After a decade in architectural and interior design across Tehran, Australia, and New York, Ellie transitioned to millinery, creating bold and distinctive headpieces.
Ellie’s journey began in 2019 when her first headpiece won the NY Belmont Stakes Fashion Contest. During the 2020 pandemic, she honed her skills through online courses with Milliners Guild members and advanced training at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
Her headpieces have been featured in international magazines such as HATalk Magazine and The Hat Magazine, as well as upscale fashion shows and exclusive hat luncheon events.
From her home studio in Boston, Ellie creates unique, eclectic designs inspired by her architectural background and lifelong love for fashion.
