Amina Hood, designer and owner of Amina Marie Millinery, creates one-of-kind headwear for clients around the world. Hood has been recognized for her custom designs. sculptural style, and attention to detail. Her designs have been featured in various magazines, exhibitions, and runway shows.
She studied textile design at the Academy of Art in San Francisco and has experience in merchandising, visual display, and retail marketing for high-end retailers. Marrying her lifelong passion for hats with her extensive retail knowledge, she started her headwear design business in 2014.
Hood was a finalist in the James Lock & Co international millinery competition in London.
Most recently, Amina is working to launch her newest ready-wear line A-HOOD, a capsule line elevating the femininity of street-style.
